ABOUT

A Creative Storyteller &

Solutions Architect.

I am a creative technologist with over 25 years of experience in the creative industries. Originally from the United States, I now am based in Singapore.

My journey started in Los Angeles at the height of the VFX boom in the early 2000s. VFX companies were popping up everywhere and the the explosion of new tools and processes was astounding. During those formative years, I wore many hats and did many things. Some of the notable experiences were, being one of the first employees of Luma Pictures, winning best VFX in a music video, creating the first live interactive digital characters for Disney Imagineering.

The second part of my career was at Industrial Light & Magic Singapore. I spent 16+ years there. This is where I learned about working at scale. How small changes can have an outsized impact on schedules, cost and morale. While at ILM Singapore, I started out as an artist. But I quickly advanced my way forward and spent the last 8 years there as one of the heads of technology globally. Some of the notable projects and roles I had while there were CG Technology Supervisor for the Singapore Studio and in charge of Compositing, Roto, Layout and Editorial globally. I was a CG Supervisor on a number of fantastic projects, notably the ABBA Voyage concert experience in London.

Finally, I have now started two companies after leaving ILM. Island City Solutions (ICS) with my long-time collaborators at ILM Singapore Fred LeMaster and David Marte. And Wild Pictures on my own. ICS focuses on the technology of media. We are trusted advisors and solutions architects for small to medium sized SMEs to help them improve their workflows and processes. Whereas Wild Pictures is at the intersection of Location Based Media & Entertainment.
